Kinder

With both parents working, day care is always a challenge. For the past two years, we have been fortunate to have Madeline in the most amazing kinder program here in Melbourne. Her last day was a couple weeks ago (I am catching up with my entries….) and these pictures capture the love and dedication of the staff.

They will all tell you that Madeline ran the school. After conquering the classroom, she set her sights on the administration of the program. It was more of a kind dictatorship (most days) and involved making sure that everyone knew their jobs, telling all her “students” how they should be reading to each other, leading science experiments, serving morning and afternoon tea, running the outdoor play games – well, the list goes on. Perhaps this is a reflection of being the third (and last) born in a family of strong personalities and the challenge of being heard. She has successfully conquered this challenge – with vigour actually.

She is very excited about going to “big kid’s school” in September and particularly going to the same school as her big brother and sister but she also loved everyday at Sentia. The staff were fantastic, the program was challenging for any kid – how many 4 year olds do science experiments every week? Just think of this as a “look out here she comes” warning for big-kids school.
